How does treatment work at our clinic?
Everyone's plan is different; the stages below are a general framework.
Consultation
Your expectations, medical history and nasal structure are assessed together with our doctor.
Planning
The technique, risks and alternatives are shared with you; any needed tests are requested.
Surgery
Usually under general anaesthesia and, depending on the case, roughly 2–4 hours.
Follow-up
The splint and stitches are removed at the clinic, followed by planned long-term check-ups.

Short questions
You feel no pain during the operation because it is done under anaesthesia. In the following days most people report mild to moderate discomfort that can be managed with painkillers; experience varies.
Most swelling settles in the first weeks, but the final shape often takes 12 months or longer.
It can both improve and worsen breathing. Nasal function should be assessed before surgery and included in the plan.
When is nose surgery considered?
Nose surgery usually comes up for two reasons: dissatisfaction with appearance and breathing problems. A marked bump on the bridge, a wide or drooping tip, a crooked nose, dissatisfaction with the result of an earlier operation or nasal blockage are among them. In many people cosmetic and functional complaints are present together; in that case the two can be planned together in one operation.

At the consultation led by ENT specialist Dr. Hüseyin Kayabaşı, we first listen to you, assess your expectations and health history, and then examine your nasal structure and breathing function. Preparing for your first consultation
To get the most from the consultation it helps to write down your goals, health history and questions beforehand. If you have had nose surgery before, bring the operation report and photographs, a list of the medicines you take and, if any, a history of blows to the nose.
